P is for Prayer

This week our elementary kids will begin a new series about prayer. I’m so excited about these next four weekends. I believe prayer is one of the most important things both adults and kids can learn about.

Prayer is POWERFUL!

Recently in my core group we studied the awesome story of Peter miraculously escaping from prison. (Acts 12:1-19)

Prayer played a vital role in helping Peter break out of his chains. It says that the, “…church was earnestly praying to God for him.” God freed Peter in such an incredible way, that only He (God) could have received the credit!

One of the greatest parts of the story is that Peter showed up at the house where all the people had gathered while they were still praying for him! Can you imagine God answering your prayers even as you were saying the words?!

Please join us in praying for the valuable time we have each weekend to teach our kids about Jesus and growing closer to Him!

Announcements:

  • We’ll be starting Project Band-Aid this weekend as our next Echo Mission focus! (Learn more about Project Band-Aid here.) Please wear Band-Aids (on your cheeks, on your wrist, arm, etc…) to encourage our kids to join us in helping the Crisis Nursery. To remind us of our Ephesians 6:18 memory verse, we’ll be putting 6:18 on our Band-Aids too! Just in case you don’t have Band-Aids at home, we will have Band-Aids available for you in our ministry areas.
  • This summer HD Children’s Ministries is bringing the fun to Surprise with HD Kid Fest! In place of going to camp this year, HD will be hosting a week-long summer event right here at Radiant, June 22-26! Each day will be an exciting adventure where our kids will have a blast all while growing in God. Look out for more details to come!
