'How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!'" Romans 10:14-15
This week our little ones in Kids Boost will learn about what it means to be a missionary. I grew up as an MK, a missionary kid, and watched my parents take the gospel to people in Asia, Europe, and Africa. While I never felt called to join my mom and dad on the mission field, I learned that being a messenger of God’s word didn’t have to mean traveling to far-off countries to share the Gospel.
Wherever you are can be your mission field! For me, sometimes being a missionary meant leading prayer at my sorority house on September 11, 2001 or talking with the woman next to me on an airplane and telling her how she could have a personal relationship with Jesus. Maybe for you it’s being a shoulder someone can cry on or providing a meal for a family in need. You can be an emissary for Jesus in your daily life!
Here are some ways you too can have beautiful feet:
- Take a walk around your neighborhood and pray for the families that live on your street.
- Invite a friend to join you at church this weekend.
- Let your life witness Christ’s love and compassion, when someone asks about your faith, boldly share how Jesus changed your life!
