With His Own Powerful Arm

Life’s been a little worrisome lately, hasn’t it? With upcoming elections, economic difficulties, and global unrest, it’s easy to start feeling anxious at the state of the world. So this week calls for some Biblical fortification, a few favorite verses to give you peace and security amidst the worry…Enjoy!

I am surrounded by trouble, but you protect me against my angry enemies. With your own powerful arm you keep me safe. Psalm 138:7 (CEV)

If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up. Psalm 94:17-19 (MSG)

God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. 1 John 3:20 (MSG)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV)
